Waiting on the Avatar:TLA Movie

I just saw the trailer for the new Avatar: The Last Airbender movie. I'm excited for it because when I first saw the trailer for Avatar, I thought it was a bad interpretation of Avatar:TLA. I was half releived when it wasn't, because it meant they hadn't slaughtered the TV series yet. On the other hand I was really disappointed because it meant I had to wait yet longer for the movie. Unfortunately, I think that the new movie won't be as good as the series. For one thing, the series had fabulous cartooning, which, as an artist, is something I appreciate, and the movie is live action. Second. I'm sort of afraid that they might mess with the plot line or try to go in a new direction. As much as I love avatar, this just seems like such an amazing series could so easily be ruined by a crappy-avergae movie.
